MUDD & GOLD

“WE ALL FALL DOWN”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Media use only]

Phoenix, Arizona – Mudd & Gold, the long-time project of Jesse Gray and Tyler Matock, is back with a vengeance. Once a duo rooted in blues and bluegrass, the band has undergone a dramatic transformation, emerging as a full-bore psychedelic rock, garage rock, and punk powerhouse.

Their debut EP, “We All Fall Down,” encapsulates this transformation. Straddling vast sonic terrains, the band moves from the jagged guitar stabs and screams of their street-strutting lead single, to echoes of shoegaze and grunge colliding in “Lungs”, to the throbbing rhythms that define their new sound. With modern stylistic comparisons to legendary acts like MC5, and the Stooges, Mudd & Gold are spearheading an art-punk renaissance.

“We All Fall Down” is gritty and punk, but it’s also huge, loud, and psychedelic. It’s an anthemic desert rock and roll record that feels organic and alive. This album serves as both a sonic and metaphorical manifesto, capturing the raw energy and ethos of the band’s new direction.

Listeners will be treated to a diverse array of sounds, including psychedelic banjo riffs that add a unique twist to their already eclectic style. The album was recorded and produced by Jalipaz Nelson at Audioconfusion, a studio renowned for its natural reverb and live recording methods, which contribute to the album’s raw soundscape.

Mudd & Gold’s rebirth is more than just a shift in sound—it’s a bold statement of their artistic evolution. As they dive into the realms of noisy guitar solos and heavy rock/psych, the band continues to push boundaries and challenge norms. “We All Fall Down” is not just an album; it’s an experience that marks the dawn of a new era for Mudd & Gold.
